The ruins of a Roman villa from the 1st century BC at Alicante Golf

Alicante Golf - Alicante, Spain

Designed by the legendary Seve Ballesteros, Alicante Golf is my only round of golf in the country of Spain.  The course winds it's way through a residential neighborhood in Alicante and gives the tourist an interesting insight into residential Spanish architecture.  The golf architecture is also nice, just more familiar.

The course's most unique feature are the ruins of a Roman villa from the 1st century BC on the 14th hole.  The ruins were discovered during construction and the golfer must actually play over them with their approach shot to the green.
