Intern Kickoff with 10 Burning Questions

Much like when Tiger Woods kicked off the “World’s greatest PGA Tour career” back in 1996, I kicked off the “World’s Greatest Internship” at the exact same place, Brown Deer Park just outside of Milwaukee Wisconsin.

Tiger famously uttered the words “Hello World”… I yelled out “Hello Wisconsin.” Tiger made par on his opening hole, I made double bogey. Tiger wore deep pleated pants, I wore hot pants. The parallels are strikingly obvious.

The only real difference between these two events is that Tiger toured the world after his time at Brown Deer Park and I would only tour Wisconsin. It’s 50 Wisconsin courses in 50 days brought to you by the fine folks over at the WSGA.

While the entire world watched Tiger Wood’s debut, I had just 2 sets of eyeballs on my internship debut. Ryan Dahl and Jerry Rossi. What these guys lacked in golfing skill, they made up for in well timed golf quips and comradery. With a tee ball struck deep into the trees on the right side of the 1st hole, the WSGA internship was officially underway.

With the inaugural internship round in the books, I naturally looked to the future. What does the great state of Wisconsin have in store for me? Here are my ten burning questions.

  1. Will I make my very first career hole in one?

  2. Which golf course will win the coveted “WSGA Internship Hidden Gem” award?

  3. Will my Wisconsin Top Ten remain unchanged?

  4. Will my back survive the grueling 50 courses in 50 days schedule?

  5. How many pounds of cheese will I consume? Vegas line: 19

  6. What will my internship low score be?

  7. How many birdies will I make? Vegas line: 110.

  8. How many bratwursts will I consume?

  9. Which golfer will win the prestigious “WSGA POI (Player of the Internship).”

  10. How many new friends will I make?

At the end of my WSGA internship journey, I will revisit these 10 questions with serious answers.

There are still spots available to join in the hot internship action. Just consult the schedule and send me a message.
